Xu Jingyi, a good girl, is invited by her friend Liu Miaomiao to be her bridesmaid as Liu marries Zhao Tiezhu, a disabled man from the countryside. Wang Dan, a righteous friend, accompanies her. The wedding is delayed because Liu demands a dowry of 50,000 yuan, which angers the villagers. A troublemaker in the village drenches Xu Jingyi with water, while Liu looks on. Wang Dan becomes enraged and retaliates, successfully avenging Xu.
