Synopsis
Xiaowei, a kind woman who lost her parents at an early age, developed an infertility condition after saving her betrothed, Chunsheng, from drowning. On their wedding day, Chunsheng's mother publicly called off the marriage citing Xiaowei's "childlessness." Under the weight of traditional pressure, the weak-willed Chunsheng quickly gave in and married someone else. In despair, Xiaowei left her hometown, carrying a broken heart as she headed towards an unknown future.
