Synopsis
In the 1990s in Northeast China, the runaway bride Yang Chunrong is saved by the rogue youth Lu Binghe. Out of their own interests, they choose to marry quickly—she seeks protection, while he needs a family status to send his younger brother to school. From a fake marriage to genuine feelings, they join forces to fight against bullies and uncover conspiracies. While protecting their small family, they also present a group portrait of the humanistic and cultural landscape of old Northeast China.
