Synopsis
Zhou Min, a female college student who grew up in the city, returns to her hometown with her boyfriend, Zhang Xiaodong, to meet his parents. Due to the local preference for sons over daughters, Zhou Min decides to break up with Zhang Xiaodong. However, Zhang Xiaodong reveals his true nature and imprisons her. Zhou Min endures hardships and pretends to submit to gain Zhang Xiaodong's trust. Eventually, with the help of her mother-in-law, she successfully escapes from the mountains.
